MYLLI

I have been teaching fully outdoors in public parks for over four years. Exploring with tiny humans outdoors in all safe weather is my passion. I like to call myself an “educarer and playworker,” as I form connections with my students through daily care tasks and uninterrupted play.

I have earned my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College, CUNY. I am a NYS Certified Teacher for Birth - 2nd Grade, and I have my Nature-Based Teaching Certification, through the Eastern Regional Association of Forest and Nature Schools.

As the founder of Little Buds Playpod, which operates in public parks around Brooklyn, New York, I am finally looking forward to an outdoor playspace of my own design and control.

I am an avid bird watcher, a lover of all things flora and fauna, and an eager advocate for outdoor play. I believe that with natural materials, loose parts, some outdoor space, and imagination, magic can happen. I am thrilled to be able to offer a new full-time nature-based program to my new community in New Jersey!

BEE

Hi! I’m Bee, and I’m a founder of Sidney Ridge Nature Playschool! I have been working with young children for a few years, getting my start at Brooklyn Nature Days, a forest school in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, where Mylli and I met. I love the challenge of combining the great outdoors with compassionate childcare!

I have been working as a nanny in Brooklyn for the past two years, as I finish up my Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from the CUNY School of Professional Studies. Growing up in Ohio, I spent my childhood outdoors with my three sisters, riding horses, and playing with our family dogs. I’m excited to craft a program where each individual child can thrive, be loved, and be themselves.
