We are Sidney Ridge Nature Playschool, a nature-based, play-based, in-home, full-time childcare program, located in Pittstown, NJ. We are open for families with children from ages 18 months to 4 years old. As a nature-based program, the majority of our time is spent outdoors, in our outdoor playspace or exploring our almost 14 acres of forest. We also have an indoor classroom for inclement weather and nap time, and we provide three wholesome meals daily. We play and explore in all safe weather. Yes, that means rain, snow, and sun! We are here to get our hands dirty, get our shoes muddy, and get silly.

Here at Sidney Ridge, we believe that children should be the leaders, the creators, the teachers, the investigators, and the founders of their own learning experiences. With unstructured, outdoor, free play, children explore and build upon their own interests, boosting their language skills, social skills and more along the way!

We hope to cultivate a love and respect for the environment and all natural life, and encourage each individual child’s growth at their own pace. With our explorative, immersive, and child-led approach to learning, your child will gain confidence, resiliency, compassion, and a sense of self.
